These reports are considered conservative. If a class does not take attendance or there is a substitute these may be higher. If the sub demand is less than or equal to 4 staff members, this can usually be covered within, without affecting our teacher planning minutes. Anything over this amount, requires that we pull from other certified staff member's schedule. it is important to remember that anytime we pull para-professionals from Special Education or Title services, we are out of compliance. We only have one Special Education Instructor and due to our identified students we require two. There is a shortage of Special Education Teachers and this position was posted all summer.
