For all interested 5th-12th grade Cross Country runners!
Wednesday, July 16th at 6:00 PM in the Victor School gym.
Coach Davidson is hosting a Cross County meet and greet for parents and athletes.
If there are any Victor students that have the slightest interest in participating in a sport that will push your limits, build self esteem & confidence, foster camaraderie, instill mental and physical toughness & resilience, and provide lifelong skills, PLEASE join us.
Cross country is an individual and team sport. If there are three on the team at the state meet, team points can be scored.
Athletes should expect to work hard and play hard to be their best. Coach Davison believes in an athlete enjoying what they are doing to continue to be successful in High School and to continue to be active throughout their lifetime.
Cross country is about a 10 week season and runners need to START the season with a strong cardiovascular base! If your child wants to be successful they need to be working out at least 3 times a week for the next month building up to the start of the season. A workout plan will be shared to give runners ideas other than just running long slow distance.
Coach Davidson plans to incorporate various workouts including speed work, plyometrics, pyramids, weight training, resistance runs, tempo runs, hill workouts, agility, and timed repeats to keep workouts interesting, exciting, and enhance fitness. These workouts throughout the season, along with information about nutrition, sleeping habits, and less screen time will hopefully encourage runners to lead a healthier, happier life and more fulfilling High School experience.

She created an impressive documentary on WWII and this week, she participated in a panel interview. She is eager to return next year! National History Day saw a staggering 500,000 students compete, and Victor is excited to be part of it. Kloe, we are so proud of you!
