Recently, Mrs Meyer took her History Days students to Billings for the State event. Here is a short update from Mrs. Meyer:

"Attached you will find an article from MSU that will be distributed across the state newspaper network regarding NHD. In the article, Victor students are featured. While none of the projects made it to nationals this year, we felt like the quality of the work completed jumped leaps and bounds. I could not be more proud of the work that all the students put into their projects from our local event in the Victor multipurpose room, Regionals in Helena in March, and finally State in Bozeman last weekend. We have four disappointed students, but rest assured that even as their hearts were breaking, our students never stopped clapping and cheering for the other winners. To me, that was an incredibly meaningful win. "

Today at Victor School, the Corvallis American Legion conducted a flag retirement ceremony. Students in several grades attended.
Legion members demonstrated the proper flag-folding procedure and then instructed students about the protocols for proper flag retirement.

Students then teamed up to fold a flag and then participated in the flag retirement burning ceremony.
Our students were excellent representatives of Victor School and conducted themselves very well. They should be commended for being such a great audience today.
