These ribbons were won by Brielle for two different art competitions.
The large blue ribbon is for 1st place in her age division for the regional (DNRC Southwestern Land Office) Keep Montana Green poster contest. Brielle’s poster was sent on for state judging and Brielle earned 3rd place overall. She will receive an award certificate and a check for $50 soon!
The second blue ribbon is for Brielle’s entry in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp art contest. She won a first in state for her age division (Class III). The other first place winners representing different age divisions were judged a second time to determine the overall winner for the Montana in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp artist.
Brielle received some high-quality art supplies as a gift from the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge which hosted the contest. Congratulations Brielle!

Hello Pirates!
As you may have recently heard, Measles has appeared in Montana. It's known to be HIGHLY contagious. This disease is spread from person to person through the air from respiratory droplets from a sneeze or cough. As of April 17, 2025, Measles has now been reported in Gallatin County, Montana. The five individuals were exposed to Measles while traveling outside of Montana. They were unvaccinated, or vaccine status was unknown, but are isolating at home now.
Under MCA 20-5-403, children attending school must be immunized against Measles, Mumps and Rubella. Two (2) doses of the MMR vaccine are required for all pupils in grades K-12, unless they qualify for conditional attendance or file for exemption as provided in 20-5-405. Per protocol, those not vaccinated may be excluded for 21 days after the onset of rash if an outbreak occurs.
Please reconsider if you have not been vaccinated or have an exemption. We are attaching an opportunity at Ravalli Co Public Health Dept May 3rd for MMR. If you receive a dose, please email/fax forms to AKay@Victor.k12.mt.us or 406-642-3446.
You can view additional information about this vaccine clinic or about Measles on the school website: https://www.victor.k12.mt.us/documents
Thank you,
Scott Stiegler,
Superintendent
Mark your calendars!!

Kloe, has qualified for the NATIONAL History Day competition. Congratulations to Kloe!!!
In early June, she will be traveling to Maryland/Washington DC for this event. This is VERY exciting, and we are thrilled that she is able to represent Victor, Montana, at this national event. Her family has set up a Go-Fund Me page to help raise $2500 for expenses associated with this trip. You can support Kloe here:

I would like to clear up a potential misunderstanding regarding the spaghetti feed fundraiser this weekend at the school. This event is a family-initiated activity to raise funds for their daughter to travel on an overseas basketball trip. This is not the annual athletic department fundraiser that will be held at a later time.
Elementary parent/teacher conferences are this week! Thursday, April 10 and Friday April 11.
